The seller update email, drafted every Thursday.

By Josh Bernal · Updated October 14, 2026 · 4 minute read

A common complaint sellers have about agents is silence. The fix is a weekly update, and the reason agents skip it is that writing one for every listing takes an hour. Mine are drafted for me every Thursday. Here is how.

What goes in it

  • Showings this week and total, with feedback where the other agent left any.
  • Where buyers are seeing the home: MLS views by agents, Zillow, Realtor.com, Redfin, Homes.com, with the numbers pulled that week.
  • The market around the home: active, under contract and sold comps, and days to sell.
  • What happened on the file: price changes, documents, next milestone.
  • What I recommend, if anything changed.

The dashboard behind it

Each listing has a page the seller can open any time, refreshed every week: list price, days on market, the milestone bar from Listed to Sold, the view counts by site, the market around the home, key dates and every document in the sale. The Thursday email points to it, so sellers can look instead of texting "any showings?"

A sample of the dashboard, names and numbers changed, is on the home page under Real output.

How the draft gets written

Thursday morning the system reads the showing platform, the MLS stats, the portal reports and the deal file, refreshes the dashboard, and drafts the email in my voice to that seller. It lands in my drafts. I read it, change a line if I want, and send. It never sends itself.

Why it matters

A seller who hears from you every Thursday, with real numbers, knows what you are doing. And when a price conversation comes, the data is already in front of them, week by week, in their own inbox.

Getting it

Client Dashboards is an add-on to the Core setup: a page for each listing, refreshed weekly, plus the weekly seller update drafted for you to send.
